Fees &
Insurance
We accept Medicare assignment, and our physicians are on
the panels of most local HMOs (health maintenance organizations) and PPOs (preferred
provider organizations). Some HMO patients must obtain a referral from their primary care
provider before they can be seen by specialists, including ophthalmologists (EyeMD).
While we are happy to file claim forms to insurance
companies, we do expect to receive co-payments, deductibles and payment for noncovered
services at the time you are seen. We accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards.
Insurance coverage can vary from plan to plan; we request that you make arrangements to
settle your account if your insurance company has not done so within two months of your
visit. We offer payment plans for certain procedures; these can be established through our
accounting department.
